About our online hypnotherapy sessions
People often question if online hypnotherapy can match an in-person session. That’s perfectly understandable – especially when many people imagine that they must need to be in the same room as their hypnotherapist in order for solution-focused hypnotherapy to work.
From the very first time I offered online hypnotherapy – long before Covid made it the norm – I felt confident that the outcome would be the same as with in-person sessions.
That’s because there’s no physical interaction between myself and the client during a face-to-face session. Nor should there ever be during hypnotherapy.
Why does online hypnotherapy work?
The key ingredients for a successful hypnotherapy session of any kind are as follows:
- An experienced, certified clinical hypnotherapist
- An open-minded and willing client
- The ability for the client and hypnotherapist to see and hear each other
- The promise of a quiet, uninterrupted session
- A properly-prepared hypnotherapist who understands what he/she is trying to treat and has ascertained that they are a good match for the client after an initial chat
As you can see, all of the above are achievable during an online therapy session – undertaken in the familiar surroundings of your own home – just as easily as they are in person.
An online hypnotherapy session makes treatment even easier
In terms of my own credentials, I completed more than 1,000 hours of training before starting as a hypnotherapist a decade ago, and since then I have successfully treated in excess of 5,000 people.
More than 1,000 of those sessions have now been conducted online.

For my clients, the convenience of booking an online therapy session that takes place in their own home is very attractive. Some clients find not having to make the trip to see their hypnotherapist in person makes the whole idea of seeing a therapist much easier, too.

With online hypnotherapy, my aim is to take you into a hypnotic state and equip the brain with somewhere else to go in times of difficulty – somewhere different to the old response.
Instead of fear, chronic stress and alarm, we give the mind the chance to go to somewhere much more calm – a place where fear-inducing, catastrophising thoughts don’t happen and anxiety levels fall.
It’s a way for people with a fear of flying to get on a plane without worrying about it. Or, for people who are terrified of public speaking to stand up in front of a crowd and give a knockout speech.
