Before I became a hypnotherapist I was possibly in a similar position to you. I had a very senior job in the media industry – but one I hated – and had picked up a stupid recreational drug habit. I was confused and lost.

But a single session of hypnotherapy – on June 1st 2006 – changed my life for good. It showed me a way out of my problems, and made me determined to make a new career out of hypnotherapy.

My 1000+ hours of training began at the world-renowned London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy. During that time, I had another life-changing experience when I was able to finally let go of the grief of my mother dying when I was a teenager.  I’d tried many therapies over the years, but none had worked. The combination of hypnotherapy, and the other treatments I now use, finally led to the breakthrough.

I originally moved to London in 1995 and had an award-winning 16yr career to director-level in the media industry, working for the BBC & emap and brands such as talkSPORT & Reader’s Digest. I’ve lived from Hackney to Chiswick and have a real understanding of the stresses and strains of London life.

We have created a unique approach to hypnotherapy that we use in every single session. This approach helps get better results. During your session, we’ll go through three stages – Events, Emotions and Outcomes:
Events
Events may have triggered the behaviour you want to stop e.g. panic attacks and phobias. Those memories will feel intense because they are traumatic. Using a treatment like havening with hypnotherapy, it’s possible to neutralise that intensity. You’ll still have the memory. But, the easily triggered intensity won’t be there. We help you leave it where it belongs – in the past.*
Emotions
We can help you manage your emotions to help you feel better.* Some emotions – such as inappropriate anxiety, worry or desire – can cause problems such as overeating and compulsive behaviour. Traumatic events may also make you feel sad, scared or hurt. We help empower you by giving you psychological tools you need to help you control these negative emotions. We then help you build up the positive emotions you do want and need.*
Outcomes
The end of the therapy process is when you are in a position to lead a happier, healthier and more enjoyable life. Once we’ve worked through the events and emotions impacting you, we can start helping you focus on what you want, how you want your life to develop, and the hopes and beliefs you want to instill.*

I have had 2 sessions with James now to help me with a fear of the dentist. I have left both sessions feeling very calm, with new techniques to use when faced with a dental appointment. During the first session I was already talking about past experiences at the dentist with a newfound calmness. After the second session, I walked straight to the dentist to make an appointment (a massive achievement for those who know me)! I cannot recommend James highly enough. I had a phobia that was severely impacting my life, from the age of 7 to 43. I had tried CBT and psychotherapy over the years, both helped in small ways but the dreaded phobia was always there, making me miserable, anxious and depressed. I had reached a bad place and my friend sent me James’ website. I immediately signed up for the free consultation. James called me and instantly put me at ease. He explained what the treatment would entail, not the hypnotherapy you see on the TV or as drunken entertainment in Tenerife! I completed my questionnaire and waited for my appointment. James has a great way about him, and despite being nervous, he made me laugh and explained each technique clearly as we were doing them. The session was not rushed and all the methods used were easy to follow and actually really pleasant. I am so happy to say that I am now phobia free (cant quite believe it) and I have James to thank! This was the best money I have EVER spent. I only needed one session, despite me asking and thinking I might need more – James was very clear, only one was required. James has checked in on me since our session, the client care is superb! My advice: don’t suffer, don’t wait, book in with James.

James rescued me from a complete low in lockdown 1. I was really struggling to find help for severe anxiety and panic disorder. Most nhs mental health places were closed or had a huge waiting list. I was instantly drawn to fix my mind on line and after looking at it 3 times decided to call him. Its the best thing I ever did. I felt better from the very first session.
